About The Race.
Founded in 2025, the Tilden Park 5k/10k Run/Bike Race was created as a fundraiser and a community service project by a small group of eighth-grade students. Our school, Albany Middle School, requires all eighth graders to get eight hours of community service, and we thought that organizing a race would be creative and fun. Sadly, due to unexpected complications, we have been forced to delay the race until March, 2026. More details are posted below. We will be holding a raffle after the race. The prize: a climbing day pass, kindly donated by Touchstone Climbing! If you would like to volunteer, contact us. Race Details
The Tilden 5K/10K Run/Bike will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
The course is a scenic route through the trails of Tilden, starting on Upper Big Springs and turning onto Seaview Trail, and then finally onto Lower Big Springs Trail for a loop of 5K (3.1 miles). There will be one loop of this course for the 5K run course and two loops of it for the bike course (10K). View our course below.
